Johnny, oh Johnny, when do you grow up?
The last couple of days we participated in Giro di Montelbano and the first stage was total shit. I don't know what happened to Johnny Struik, maybe he shit his pants, but he said he did not, but still managed to finish 31th after his Lead out Fitos Szabolcs. So basically we lost all hope. We did not expect him to win the stage, but at least expected a top 15.
In the second stage our little Johnny did a better job. He became 5th and to our surprise he was second in the GC and first in the YC. 1.52 behind Henk Daverveld but still second.
So all positions in the top were determined for the last sprinting stage. The team chose to use both Johnny and Atle Sveen as captain to get some stage points and maintain the second position in GC, because the third place was just 2 seconds behind. Apparantly little Johnny got a present from his mom which made him very happy. He had good legs and was 7th, just after Atle Sveen who just missed the podium.
Johnny is so happy with his new jersey that he will sleep in it until next season. He especially likes the fact that it is green, because that is his favorite color. Little Johnny will now continue his training. He is maxed in HL, FR, TQ and TT and now he is training his sprinting (AV) and hopefully he will be able to gain some points in CL(none) after that.

Hmm, one of my 'special recipe' food packages was stolen by an elderly lady a week ago. Weird.... ;)
He wouldn't tell me, but seeing the smile on his face was the most wonderful moment of this tour. Maybe in a couple of days I will find out
I am wondering what kind of present he got from his mom. The jersey will keep him warm during the nights, dreaming about his next tour.
